Deep Heat | Best Thing For Sore Muscles

Whenever I think of Deep Heat, I cannot contain my laughter because pictures of a fellow gym-goer pop up in front of my eyes. I find this guy so funny and adorable because, as soon as he feels a muscle is tightening he rubs “the affected area” with Deep Hear rub – can you imagine a person walking around the gym with a tube of Deep Heat, rubbing it all over? Hysterical!

I also have my own tube of the stuff but I don’t carry it to the gym – maybe I should? Instead, I’ve discovered the Deep Heat Spray (150ml | £3.25) to be my favorite way of treating sore muscles or tendons. The other day I’ve slightly hurt my trapezius muscle (I thought I was warmed up enough – apparently, I was wrong) – and it kinda bummed me out because I had no idea if this minor injury would prevent me from exercising (to a certain extent, at least). Luckily, it wasn’t anything major and I’m already feeling better. Twice I had asked hubby to spray it and massage it in (not necessary, I just love a good massage – pssstt, don’t tell him) – and voilà! Pain also almost completely gone.

I am thinking of purchasing the cooling spray (or cream) as well because, even though my muscles appreciate the heat, I have my own limitations during the hottest days of Summer. I would say that the Deep Heat spray is a bit stronger than the rub – the moment and a few seconds after application, you cannot feel a thing. Rewind a minute more and the pleasant warmth relaxes and takes away the discomfort like nothing else. But be careful not to get the spray on your face (my ears once burned for 30 minutes straight!) or on any kind of sensitive or damaged skin (razor burns, cuts, rashes etc.). This is some serious stuff and it definitely brings on the heat – just make sure you can handle it beforehand.

Dva puta sam zamolila muza da nanese sprej i masira taj bolni dio ledja (masaza nije neophodna uz sprej, jednostavno sam “izvukla” bonus masazu – sssssh, nemojte mu reci) – i voilà! Boli gotovo da uopste nema.
  • Razmisljam o kupovini i hladeceg spreja (ili kreme) jer, iako toplina prija misicima, ja ipak imam ogranicenja tokom vrelih ljetnih dana.
