When the word ‘chilly’ simply isn't enough to describe how exactly cold mornings and night have become – you know that Summer is officially over and Autumn sets in. We'll obviously have lots of sunny and beautiful days but night now truly does bring that instinctive urge for bed throws, thicker socks, something to wrap around the shoulders. Skin is going through a similar phase as well as I've noted my face doesn't benefit from that light, gel-like moisturizer anymore. My skincare routine hasn't changed drastically but there are certainly some new additions and here I have four new pieces I've been testing for the past two months. For now, there are four new bits out of which two are strictly skincare whilst the other two step into that skincare/makeup hybrid territory.
Let's start with the simple guy out of the bunch and that's the Bioderma Sebium Purifying Cleansing Gel. Now, this is a very well-made face cleanser for oily and combination skin. It isn't aggressive or irritating but you can certainly feel how it makes skin more balanced and even velvety matte after prolonged use. Not ideal for dehydrated skin (especially dry skin), so I can tell I'll swap it for something more nourishing as soon as temps seriously drop.
Toner is the forgotten step when skincare comes to mind and I'm definitely not saying it's reoccurred as a sample in mine, but I do like a decent toner from time to time. Avon Naturals Rose Water is a pretty basic toner and that's how I like ’em! After not being impressed by the Caudalie Beauty Elixir (I don't hate it but it's hardly worth the spulrge) and still remaining impressed by the humble Avene Thermal water, I've realised that simplicity here is the key. I was always a fan of rose water as I really love the soothing scent of roses. This toner makes skin supple and soft and I think of it of a ‘filter’ or a transition piece between washing my face and applying some sort of cream on it.
Alpha-H Liquid Gold Perfecting Day Wear isn't something I've encountered for the first time – I've had the chance to test it ages ago but it somehow slipped from my mind until now when it came mighty handy! It's a non-greasy yet nourishing serum which is enriched with hyaluronic acid. It's also packed with antioxidants and leaves a subtle glow with Mineral Bronzing Pearls (gold shimmer flecks which disappear into the skin upon rubbing motion). I use this as a primer before my foundation/BB cream and it makes my skin naturally radiant and beautiful. Makeup adheres to it wonderfully.
Following a very similar concept of colorful bronzey beads to perfect the skin, Anew Clinical Absolute Even Dark Circle Corrector is something of a BB cream for under eyes. I thought it wasn't tinted as its color melted with my skin but I found it definitely has tiny beads for color-correction. It's not greasy and it sits well over any eye cream. It doesn't crease and gives a lovely light coverage. It's not something I use alone when my dark circles are prominent and in those cases I layer it with a medium to full coverage concealer – it preps the skin and takes the dullness away from full coverage (if you know what I mean).

- Kada rijec ‘prohladno’ vise nije adekvatna da se opisu hladna jutra i noci, postaje jasno da je ljetu zvanicno dosao kraj a da svjeza jesen pocinje da pusta korijenje. Ocigledno da cemo imati jos mnogo lijepih, suncanih dana ali sa dolaskom noci definitivno osjecam instinktivnu potrebu da posegnem za toplim carapama, prekrivacem za krevet i necim za ogrnuti oko ramena. Slicna je situacija i sa kozom posto sam primjetila da joj vise nisu dovoljne lagane, gelaste kreme. Njega lica mi se nije drasticno promijenila ali sam uvela neke novitete koje testiram par mjeseci. Za sada se radi o ukupno cetiri proizvoda od kojih su dva cistokrvni preparativci dok ostala dva zalaze u teritoriju preparativa/dekorativa hibrida.
- Bioderma Sebium prociscujuci gel za ciscenje lica je najjednostavniji momak iz grupe koji od mene licno ima preporuku za masnu i mjesovitu kozu. Nije agresivan, niti iritirajuci i tokom duze upotrebe postaje jasno da stvarno radi na balansiranju sebuma a koza polako postaje barsunasto mat. Nije idealan za dehidriranu (pogotovo ne za suhu kozu) tako da znam kako cu sa dolaskom zime preci na nesto hranljivije.
- U svijetu njege koze toner/tonik je zaboravljeni korak i necu vam reci da ja bez njega ne mogu zivjeti ali, sa vremena na vrijeme, nije lose ubaciti ga u rutinu. Avon Naturals ruzina vodica je jedan jako jednostavan toner a takve i preferiram nakon sto sam shvatila da me Caudalie Beauty Elixir nije impresionirao (nije on toliko los koliko je neisplativa investicija) a godinu za godinom me impresionira skromna Avene termalna voda. Takodjer jako volim ruzinu vodicu kao tonik – dopada mi se miris ali i konkretno ova vodica lijepo omeksava kozu. Zamisljam tonik kao neku vrstu ‘filtera’, prijelaznog koraka od pranja koze do nanosenja kreme za lice.
- Za Alpha-H Liquid Gold Perfecting Day Wear znam od ranije i isprobala sam ovaj serum prije nekog vremena ali je nekako pao u drugi plan te mi je tek uistinu ‘legao’ tokom mjeseca septembra. Radi se o serumu nemasne ali ujedno hranljive formulacije koji je obogacen hijaluronskom kiselinom. Takodjer sadrzi antioksidanse i pruza njezni sjaj kozi uz pomoc mineralnih bronzanih perlica (sicusne zlatne cestice koje se masiranjem otope i stope sa kozom). Ovaj serum volim koristiti kao prajmer/bazu prije nanosenja tecne podloge/BB kreme i kozu uistinu cini divno blistavom i nahranjenom a i makeup ljepse prijanja.
- Slijedeci veoma slican koncept sicusnih bronzanih perlica koje ujednacavaju ton koze, Anew Clinical Absolute Even korektor za tamne podocnjake bih opisala poput BB kreme za okoloocno podrucje. Na pocetku uopste nisam primjecivala da je blago obojen posto se tako dobro stopio sa mojim tenom ali definitivno sadrzi korektivne perlice u boji. Nemastan je i lijepo se nanosi preko okoloocnih krema. Ne uvlaci se u pregib oka i pruza jako lijepo njezno prekrivanje. Doduse, ne koristim ga samostalno kada su mi tamni kolutovi izrazeni – u tim slucajevima ga nanosim ispod korektora srednjeg do potpunog prekrivanja. Jako je zgodan posto kozu osvjezi, hidrira i podari joj zdravu boju sto nestane koristenjem korektora vece prekrivne moci tj. vraca zivot u ten uz njihvo koristenje.
