Guest Post: My Makeup Picks For Fall | Taya – MyLittleBeautyWorld

Hello, lovely readers of Meteo Beauty. My name is Tatjana and I'm author of blog Taya My Little Beauty World. I'm a Slovenian blogger, but I write my posts in English, so my international readers can understand them too. When Selma asked me to write a guest post for her blog I was honoured and I immediately said yes. I don't remember anymore, how I came across her blog, but when I started to follow her she soon became one of my favourite bloggers. I decided to share few of my favourite products for fall with you today. If you look through the window you see fall is already here. I started to pick up more fall beauty products lately and leaving summery shades behind, so this is a great chance to talk about my makeup and nail polish picks for fall. When it comes to fall I think about colours, like burgundy, plum, golden, purple etc. Today I'm going to talk about eyeshadows, blushes, lipsticks and nail polishes that I think are perfect for this season.

Eyeshadows

I'm a huge fan of bold make up looks, but since
I love to wear dark lips I also use neutral shades a lot. Last year Sleek released a perfect palette for
fall, called Vintage Romance, that
was unfortunately a limited edition palette, but I know in some online
drugstores in my country is still available. It has perfect shades for fall
looks, including golden, plum and burgundy shades, which I love a lot. I also
find Deborah Milano trio palette Hi-Tech
08
with golden, purple and burgundy shade perfect for this season. It has
baked eyeshadows, which have nice pigmentation and last all day. They can be
used wet or dry. Catrice has a nice
selection of mono eyeshadows and some of them I often choose for fall makeup
looks. Some of them are shimmery, like Plum
up the Jam, My First Copperware Party, Talk like an Egyptian
, and some are
matte, like Al Burgundy. These can
be used in crease or all over the lids; it depends from the look one wants to
achieve. Also, Maybelline Color Tattoo
Pomegranate Punk
is a shade I'll use a lot as a base for powdery eyeshadows.
It's a perfect burgundy shade, a bit more sheer than other Color Tattoo eyeshadows
that I own and that's the reason I mostly use it as a base.

Blushes

In fall I like to wear burgundy/purple or
coraly/peachy shades on my cheeks. My blush collection is quite big, but I have
few favourites that I use all the time. Sleek
Pomegranate, Maybelline 501
and
Catrice Bed of Flowers
are blushes from burgundy/purple colour family that are
by my opinion perfect for fall. My cheeks are naturally very red and these give
me similar look, maybe a bit darker, when they’re blended. Catrice Bed of
Flowers is a purple creamy blush, that doesn't last that long on my cheeks, so
I often set it with powder blush. Sleek Pomegranate and Maybelline 501 contain
tiny shimmer which is luckily not too noticeable on face, are amazingly
pigmented and last all day on cheeks.
I also love coral/peach blushes. From this
colour family are my favourite Essence
Ap-ri(c)ot, Essence Asian Sensation
and Etude House Grapefruit Jelly. Unlike upper three these gave my
cheeks more natural, soft look, and I love to use them with stronger makeup,
when main focus is on eyes or lips.

Lipsticks

Fall is all about darker shades. This is the
time when I put bright shades back in my lipstick corner and start reaching
more for dark red, berry, plum, purple shades. These just scream fall, don't
you think? One of my currently favourites picks is Catrice Plum&Base, which is amazing creamy plum shade that lasts
on my lips for hours. Under it I sometimes like to use a plummy matte Catrice lip pencil Love the Way You Plum. Purple lipsticks that I adore are Essence Wear Berries and Catrice Russian Violette. Both are
creamy, shiny and moisturizing. From dark red lipsticks I really like to wear Revlon lip butter in shade Red Velvet, which is very moisturizing,
but unfortunately doesn't last very long; it completely fades away from my lips
after two hours, but luckily it doesn't smudge, so I don’t need to worry if I
have it somewhere else than on my lips. One of my favourite fall (and also
winter) lipsticks is also Catrice
Matt-erial Girl
, a gorgeous berry creamy shade. Red is a classic shade and
I wear it all year long. Recently I discovered Essence Adorable Matt, a classic red lipstick, which has amazing
creamy formula and duration time also surprised me, because it lasts around
four hours on my lips, which is a lot for an Essence lipstick. Essence says it
has a matte finish, but I’d say it’s more semi-matte. Because I often wear
darker looks, a nude lipstick is a must for me. I really love Essence Natural Beauty, because it goes
well with every eye look and it suits my skin tone perfectly.

Nail polishes

When it comes to nail polishes, I love to use
polishes from red colour family in fall. Few of my favourites are P2 Before Sunrise, a metallic red shade
with golden shimmer, P2 Hold Me Tight,
a dusty red shade, and Essie Bahama Mama,
a burgundy creamy shade, which is probably my number one fall and winter nail
polish. Next is Essie Mind Your Mittens,
a greyish black polish that looks completely black on nails. Can I just say how
perfect this polish is? It looks great as a base for nail art, alone or as an
accent nail in skittle manicure. I also included nudes. The reason I love nudes
so much is probably because they are a perfect base for nail art. You will
rarely see me wearing only one colour, I usually feel creative with my nails
and I do nail art manicures on them all the time, even if I do the easiest and
most simple one. My currently favourite nudes are Kardashian Beauty Buff and OPI
Did You ‘Ear about Van Gogh
. Last group of polishes are golden shades. For
me the golden colour is the most connected with fall and Christmas. I really
love polishes like She 230, a
metallic golden shade, and P2 Precious,
which is a golden glittery polish with sand finish. Of course I wear other,
darker colours as well, but these are the ones I wanted to mention in this
post.

For the end I have one simple makeup look for
you, which I did with products I mentioned above. On my eyes I used eyeshadows
from Sleek Vintage Romance and Deborah palette, on cheeks Catrice Bed of
Flowers blush and on lips Catrice Plum&Base lipstick.

Thanks again to Selma for having me here on her

makeup picks for fall. Thank you for reading!
