It would be appropriate to introduce myself first, for those of you who don’t know me I’m Ivana from Roseybelle blog and you can visit the site at www.roseybelle.com. My posts are written in English and Croatian and I also recently started a youtube channel (you can follow me at username roseybelle5). Today I had the pleasure of being hosted on this lovely blog by my dear colleague Selma and I’m so thankful to her for the opportunity because she is truly one of my favourite beauty bloggers. Her posts really hold the quality up high and I enjoy reading every single one of them. But posts aside, Selma is a wonderful person, always polite and friendly towards others, which is a quality that is somewhat hard to find these days. I appreciate the time that she takes to write this gorgeous reviews and to edit her magazine-like photographs, which are stunning if you haven’t noticed it already. When discussing the subject of today’s post, we both agreed that I should do a quick review of my favourite autumnal lipcolors since the season is here and I believe everyone would be interested in hearing about that.

Mislim da bi prvenstveno bilo kulturno da se predstavim, za one od vas koji me ne znaju, ja sam Ivana sa Roseybelle bloga kojeg možete posjetiti na adresi www.roseybelle.com. Postove pišem već nekih godinu dana, na hrvatskom i engleskom jeziku, a nedavno sam pokrenula i youtube kanal pod istim imenom (username je roseybelle5). Danas me draga Selma počastila gostovanjem na njenom blogu i moram odmah reći da sam joj vrlo zahvalna jer je ona jedna od blogerica s naših prostora koje najviše cijenim, ne samo radi vrlo kvalitetnih i detaljnih recenzija već i radi njene tople i pristupačne osobnosti koja se nije mijenjala bez obzira na uspješnost njenog bloga. Cijenim ovu kvalitetu kod svih ljudi pa tako i blogera i cijenim Selmu koja uvijek pronađe vremena za objavu novih postova sa predivnim slikama koje izgledaju kao da su iskočile iz nekog časopisa. Kada smo razgovarale o temi današnjeg posta, obje smo dogovorile da je dobra ideja pisati o najdražim jesenskim ruževima za usne. S obzirom da je jesen već pomalo ovdje, mislila sam da bi ova tema mogla zanimati većinu čitatelja stoga je odluka pala na nju.
The lipcolors that I chose, from left to right are: Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Matte in the shade 07 – Nudeist!, Revlon Lip Butter in the shade Raspberry pie (my personal favourite), Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids in Electric Orange and Oriflame The One in the shade Posh Plum. As already mentioned, my favourite shade out of these would have to be Revlon’s Raspberry Pie because I find it the perfect color for the autumn/winter season. It’s a gorgeous burgundy with hints of plum in it and I guess you can compare it to Mac’s Rebel to some extent. The best thing about this lipstick is the consistency which is quite sheer and buildable up to a nice opaqueness. I would say that you can definitely pull this shade off in both evening and day events. Bourjois Velvet Matte’s Nudeist is the shade that I have been wearing most often throught the whole year actually. This is one of those shades that you can wear with any makeup looks since it’s basically a meat colored, toned down rosey shade. I would recommend this shade to all of those who don’t want to give up pinks in the autumn and are looking for a bit more sophisticated everyday shades. Also, this is the only matte shade that I chose so I thought I should mention that. Maybelline’s Electric Orange is a true orange shade with hints of pink in it but I would definitely say it’s more orangey than coral. It reminds me of pumpkins and autumn leaves and I would say this shade (or MAC’s Morange) would be a must have for this season. It suits all skintones nicely and it would definitely look good with brown autumnal outfits. The last shade on this list (but not least!) is Oriflame’s Posh Plum which is a really stunning plum shade, it doesn’t look unnatural at all because the purples are complimented with warmer hues so I could definitely see myself wear this shade with the looks from my new Naked 3 palette.
Boje koje sam odabrala, s lijeva na desno su: Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Matte u nijansi 07 Nudeist!, Revlon Lip Butter u nijansi Raspberry pie (moj najdraži), Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids u boji Electric Orange te Oriflame The One u nijansi Posh Plum. Kao što sam već spomenula, najdraža nijansa mi je Revlonov Raspberry pie kojeg smatram savršenom jesenskom nijansom – topla boja vina sa primjesama šljive u sebi, vjerujem da bi ju mogla usporediti sa MAC Rebel ružem ili bi ovaj mogao odigrati njegovu mlađu i svjetliju verziju. Najbolja stvar kod ovog ruža je konzistencija koja je između prozirne i neprozirne, ponovnom aplikacijom može se lijepo nadograditi do vrlo intenzivne boje, no može ga se nositi i za dnevne lookove. Također, jer se radi o Lip Butteru (maslacu za usne), ovaj ruž je vrlo hidratantan i preporučujem ga svima sa suhim usnama. Bourjois Velvet Matte u nijansi Nudeist! sam već recenzirala na svom blogu, a radi se o jednoj lijepoj mat nijansi boje mesa. Ovo nije tipična nude nijansa, tamnija je od uobičajenih nude, ali je kao prigušena boja ruže što ju po meni čini odličnom za sve one koji se u jesenskim danima ne žele odreći ružičastih nijansi. Maybellineov Electric Orange sam nekako najmanje nosila od svih navedenih, no stvarno volim ovu nijansu. Radi se o pravoj narančastoj boji koja u sebi sadrži primjese ružičaste no nikako nije koraljna. Podsjeća me na bundeve i jesensko lišće tako da ju (zajedno sa MAC Morange koju priželjkujem) smatram idealnom bojom ove sezone. Vjerujem da bi prekrasno izgledala na svim tonovima kože i kao kompliment smeđim jesenskim odjevnim kombinacijama. Zadnja nijansa na ovoj listi je Oriflameov Posh Plum kojeg sam nedavno recenzirala – predivna boja šljive, ne ona mrtva, nego uistinu vedra i bogata toplijim tonovima. Ovu nijansu ću najviše nositi uz nude oči koje ću kreirati sa novom Naked 3 paletom.
