Review: Lush Bohemian & Miranda Soap

Lush Bohemian Soap has been around since the start of Lush and remains a firm favourite. That's probably due to its simplicity because it doesn't get any straightforward than this. Now, don't expect a fancy soap here, this is one of those staple classic products to have around the house. If strong scents are the first thing that pop into your mind when you thin of Lush – think again. Bohemian has a very nice, fresh lemony scent to it. It is so lovely, refreshing and uplifting. If you're a lemon-a-holic than you'll love the Bohemian. What is odd is that it started to have this bubble-gum scent when I first got it but it vanished after a few days. I suppose that scent must've rubbed off a soap placed next to it at the shop. I'd say that Bohemian is the perfect soap for hands in the kitchen. Since it doesn't have an overpowering but gentle scent, it won't mix or interfere with the smell of the food you are cooking up. It's of a pretty hard texture compared to some other soaps from Lush I've used over the time.

Ako ste ljubitelj/ica limuna i volite sve limunaste stvarcice, onda cete posebno zavoljeti ovog boema.

I wouldn't classify it as a beauty soap, rather a useful kitchen one. I wouldn't dream of using it on my face though because it isn't as moisturizing as e.g. their Snowcake soap (which is dreamy in every aspect). So yes, a good one to clean your hands and eventually your body in case of emergency (if you don't have a shower gel at hand). It costs $7,50 which is absolutely fine to me since it lasts for a really long time. It doesn't foam up a lot and a little really does go a long way. I've read that it is recommended for oily skin but again, I wouldn't recommend to use it on your face because it can be drying for it. The fact that it isn't too drying for my hands doesn't automatically mean that it wouldn't be for the skin of the face. I'm on a path to absolutely kick out all soaps from my face care routine. I has two or three soaps perhaps which I could've used without that tightening feeling but why turn to soaps when we have so many wonderful face gels, creams, washes etc.?

Lush Miranda Soap is my definitive favourite between the two. Miranda reminds me of a jelly punch bowl and looks like a paired-back version of another LE Lush soap – Mr.Punch. But Miranda is a part of the permanent soap line and I must say that I'm glad. Not even sure what took me so long to test it out in the first place. A fresh fruit salad of a soap, this one. Very fruity, mellow and appealing slice of heaven and I'll keep this soap for a while in my bathroom. Now, I wouldn't say that it's one to be kept at the kitchen sink like Bohemian because Miranda is much more gorgeous. It contains kiwi, ylang-ylang, gardenia, juniperberry and bergamot. It looks like a puzzle kiwi of some sort. Colored in a light green and filled with pinkish fruity chunks, it even sports black kiwi seeds. These are not the kind of chunks which make a mess in your shower. I don't even think that they're as good at exfoliation (pretty rough on the skin) as much they're just there for making my piece of soap more reminiscent of a giant kiwi slice. What I love about this soap is it's soft and gentle texture. It's much more enjoyable on skin than Bohemian which is quite firm.

Sadrzi kivi, ylang-ylang, gardeniju, borovnicu i bergamot.

Miranda is very soft and gets even softer during time but it doesn't become porridge in your hands, if you know what I mean. It smells so delicious and fruity and leaves skin delicately perfumed with that same wonderful smell (it lingers for a while). This one does lather and it's something I'd sometimes use on my body as well as on my hands. Still not a contender for my face though. But it is a lovely addition to my bathroom which even smells of it all the time. Miranda isn't too drying to my hands, on my body a little. Since it's of a creamy texture my skin doesn't feel tight after use but note that it isn't hydrating either. Wouldn't recommend any soap for dry skin so have that in mind. Now it's hit me of what its smell remind me of – kiwi & oranges smoothie! If you do decide to get it yourself, do insist on getting a piece with more fruity chunks inside of it because they seem to be more hydrating than the “filling”. All in all, a nice soap to be used mainly for washing hands and it can pass for a quick under the shower surprise. I will be repurchasing this one (costs $7,95). What is your favourite Lush soap?

Njega cu sebi ponovo kupiti (i on kosta 8KM).

Testiraju li oni, ko to kontrolira?

Hmmm…interesting. They seem both delicious but actually they are bath products. I have tried different LUSH products and I so love it. Now I wanna try the miranda soap.

Bath products? These are soaps and soaps can be used for everything really. From body to face to clothes etc. Lush is awesome, I agree 🙂

Hvala Dolce!
