To create this look I purchased Essence's Nail Art Magnetics in Magic Wand(03) and also I bought their magnet. Everyone is raving about magnetic nails (including Michelle Phan) so it was good enough for me to try. Let me say that it really takes to be extremely patient and have a lot of time to master this nail look. I'm a beginner and had never before did magnetic nails so the first time was a bit tricky for me.

Svi hvale magnetne lakove (ukljucujuci Michelle Phan) sto je bilo dovoljno da ih i sama isprobam. Recimo da je potrebno biti jako strpljiv i imati dosta vremena da bi ih savladali. Ja sam pocetnica i nisam prije koristila magnetne lakove tako je prvi pokusaj bilo za mene komplikovan.
There are some things you should know before you decide to purchase. You need a magnetic nail polish, not a regular one, because magnetic polishes are made with iron particles that move when exposed to a magnet. Logically, you need a magnet. Some say a regular magnet can do but I doubt it since I tried to use one myself. It was just a blurred mess on my nails. Some companies include the magnet in the cap of the polish and some (like Essence) sell it separately. Also the main reason why you cannot use a regular magnet is that the magnets intended for this use are made with different patterns. I noticed this when cleaning my magnet from nail polish. How it got there? I'll explain later. When I swiped my cotton pad soaked with nail polish remover over the bottom of the magnet horizontal lines appeared, and were gone as soon as the remover evaporated. Now, how the polish got on the bottom side of the magnet? This happened while holding the magnet over the nail and I lost the feeling in my hand so it just stuck to it. This was a source of my frustration since it happened so many times. So to sum it up, the whole point is to apply ample of the magnetic nail polish and quickly put the magnet (that I put on my index finger) over the freshly painted nail. At first I didn't get the pattern as clear and pretty as I wanted so I had to repeat everything from the scratch. Over and over again.After this torture I ended up with a pretty effect and I was happy about it, although it gave me hard time to make.
Trebali bi znati par stvari prije nego sto se odlucite za kupovinu. Potreban vam je magnetni lak za nokte, ne obicni lak jer magnetni lakovi u sastavu imaju cestice zeljeza koje se pokrecu kada ih izlozite magnetu. Logicno, potreban vam je i magnet. Neke djevojke su spomenule kako im je isti rezultat dao i obicni magnet ali iskreno sumnjam u te tvrdnje posto sam pokusala da i sama pokusam. Tako sam jedino dobila zamrljane nokte. Neki brendovi ukljuce i magnet u poklopcu laka za nokte dok drugi (poput Essence-a) prodaju magnet odvojeno. Takodjer, glavni razlog zasto ne mozete u ovu svrhu da iskoristite obicne magnete jeste taj sto magneti namijenjeni koristenju zajedno sa magnetnim lakovima su napravljeni sa razlicitim sarama. To sam primjetila kada sam cistila lak sa magneta. Kako se tu nasao? Objasniti cu kasnije. Uglavnom, kada sam presla blaznicom natopljenom skidacem laka preko magneta , pojavile su se horizontalne linije. Nestale su kada je skidac laka ispario. A kako se lak nasao na magnetu? To mi se dogodilo dok sam drzala magnet malo iznad nokta koji sam nalakirala magnetnim lakom. Jednostavno sam izgubila osjecaj i dotakla sam magnetom lak. To me jako frustriralo posto mi se desilo milion puta. Ukratko, poenta je nanijeti dovoljno magnetnog laka na nokat i brzo postaviti magnet iznad (ja sam ga drzala na kaziprstu). Na pocetku nisam dobijala cistu i jasnu saru pa sam morala iznova zapocinjati citav proces. Vise puta za redom. Nakon sto sam prosla kroz to mucenje, na kraju jesam dobila jako lijep i zanimljiv efekat na noktima te sam poprilicno zadovoljna. Iako me prilicno sve nanerviralo.
