Two Summer Detox Recipes

Remember my birthday cheesecake recipe and how my husband and I made the almond-date crust without a blender? Buying cheap blenders has taught me a valuable lesson so, since I have no further desire to chop up almonds with a knife - I've decided to invest in a Nutribullet, courtesy of my new Mastercard

To properly get the most out of our purchase, we've already make a few soups and smoothies while we also plan on using it to make yogurt and ice cream. Here are two recipes that kinda stood out and are on repeat.

Creamy broccoli soup is so delicious and so versatile as it can be served warm and chilled. Plus, it's great to cleanse your body without ever compromising great taste. Blanch a handful of broccoli for two minutes so it has that beautiful fresh green coloring. Then drain, chop it up and leave to cool down for a minute (you shouldn't put anything too warm in Nutribullet). Add some milk and cold pressed sunflower oil then pulse until smooth. Chop up garlic and chuck in a pan on some cold pressed sunflower oil and fry until golden. Add to the mixture and additionally blend. You get a lovely smooth puree in which you can add some sea salt, pepper and even Greek yogurt if you want to make it extra creamy. Serve in ramekins, drizzle some yogurt and crushed pepper. 

Watermelon peach smoothie is the most refreshing summer drink to quench your thirst - and it's incredibly easy to make. You'll need approx 300g watermelon, 1 peach, 1 kiwi, a handful of raspberries, some cinnamon and water. Cut watermelon, peaches and kiwi, wash the raspberries. Chuck everything in a Nutribullet, add cinnamon and blend until creamy and smooth. If the mixture seems too thick add a little of water. Serve in chilled glasses, garnish with sliced kiwi and currants. Fresh, hydrating and satisfying. It's perfect!

Kupovina jeftinijih blendera me naučila vrijednu lekciju a to je da ne škrtarim na kuhinjskim aparatima. Sada sam se odlučila da investiram u Nutribullet koji sam preko svoje Mastercard beskontaktne kartice kupila u Domodu. Savjet: ako možete pronaći crveni Nutribullet, na akciji je jefiniji je od ostalih boja.
  • Da bi iz njega izvukli maksimum, već smo se poigrali sa receptima i namirnicama pa se praksa stiče u pripremanju supa i smoothieja. Planiramo praviti i jogurte te sladolede uskoro. Za vas sam danas pripremila dva jednostavna recepta kojima smo posebno zadovoljni.
  • Kremasta supa sa brokulom je izuzetno ukusna bez obzira da li je želite servirati toplu ili ohlađenu. Za početak treba blanširati željenu količinu brokule na minutu-dvije dok ne dobije onu krasnu drečavo zelenu boju. Procijediti je, isjeckati nožem i ostaviti da se malo ohladi (jer u Nutribullet ne smijete ubaciti ništa vruće). Dodati joj malo mlijeka i hladno prešanog suncokretovog ulja te pulsirati dok se ne dobije kremasta smjesa. Potom isjeckati bijeli luk i propržiti ga na ulju u tavi dok ne dobije zlatnu boju. Dodati ga u Nutribullet i još pulsirati. Rezultat je krasno kremasti pire koji možete začiniti sa morskom soli, biberom i grčkim jogurtom ako želite da bude posebno gust. Servirati u keramičkim posudicama, dekorisati jogurtom i smrvljenim zrnima bibera.
  • Smoothie od lubenice i breskve je najčarobniji osvježavajući ljetni napitak koji će savršeno ugasiti žeđ. Bonus je što ga je nevjerovatno lako pripremiti. Potrebno je cca 300g lubenice, jedna breskva, jedan kivi, šaka malina, malo cimeta i vode. Izrezati lubenicu, breskvu i kivi, potom oprati maline. Sve ubaciti u Nutribullet, dodati cimet i blendati dok ne postane glatko. Ukoliko je smjesa pregusta, samo joj dodati malo vode. Servirati u ohlađenim čašama, ukrasiti sa kriškom kivija i ribizlama. Osvježavajući, hidratantan i ukusan - ovaj smoothie je apsolutno savršen!
