Dark Chocolate Dipped Clementines with Pistachios

One of the easiest and healthiest desserts that I'm a fan of are the Dark Chocolate Dipped Clementines with Pistachios. These 3-ingredient wonders even sound fancy, look fancy and taste incredibly good. Just imagine how good juicy clementines go with the heart healthy dark chocolate and a sprinkle of chopped pistachios? Heavenly! It's the most addictive thing I've eaten in a long time and a shining example healthy food isn't boring but fun and delightful.

Begin by lining a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Peel and segment clementines. I find that smaller ones tend to look more aesthetically pleasing. Use one dark chocolate with min. 70% cacao and melt it over a small bowl of boiled water. Add a few drops of water to loosen it up and (if you want) you can add some cinnamon and rum aroma. That is what I prefer at least. In meanwhile, prep finely chop pistachios. Dip clementine segments in chocolate and transfer to prepared sheet. Immediately sprinkle with tiny pistachio flakes before the chocolate sets.

Once all pieces are dipped, set sheet aside until chocolate hardens. To quickly harden chocolate, refrigerate sheet for 10 minutes. It's amazingly refreshing when clementines pop under teeth and their zesty aroma mixes with bitter chocolate and salty pistachios. Decadence in a bite - and not at all bad for the waistline!

Kada god napravim slatke zalogajčiće od mandarina umočenih u tamnu čokoladu i posutih mrvicama od pistacija, to je apsolutna fantazija za nepce. Ovi minijaturni dezertići od samo tri sastojka su fensi-šmensi na prvi pogled a bome i zalogaj. Upozoravam da ćete se vrlo brzo "navući" na ove krasotice (ja jesam) i mislim da su sjajan primjer kako zdrava hrana uopšte nije dosadna već naprotiv, veoma zabavna i preukusna.
  • Za početak, pripremite papir za pečenje i položite ga na tanjir. Mandarine ogulite i razdvojite na sastavne dijelove (ja ih zovem polovice). Primjetila sam da manje mandarine djeluju ljepše od većih. Za "umak" koristite tamnu čokoladu sa minimalno 70% kakaa. Otopite je bilo u toploj kupki ili u šerpici na laganoj vatri, s tim da možete za lakše topljenje dodati malo tople vode sa čokoladom. Po želji možete dodati cimet ili aromu ruma - ja ih volim sa čokoladom, pravi su zimski miks okusa i mirisa. Sa strane pripremite pistacije tako što ćete ih sitno nasjeckati. Kada je čokolada istopljena, mandarine umočiti jednom polovicom, položiti na papir i prije nego se čokolada stvrdne posuti komadićima pistacija. 
  • Kada završite sa svim polovicama mandarina i sve su prekrivene čokoladom te posute pistacijama, ostavite da se čokolada stvrdne. Ako želite brže djelovanje, onda stavite papir u frižider na desetak minuta. Samo zamislite užitak kada zagrizete sočne mandarine čiji se citrusni sok počne miješati sa raskošnom čokoladom a u miks uketi pokoji komadić slankastih pistacija. Prekrasno! Dekadencija u zalogaju - i nimalo loša po liniju!
