China Glaze Pool Party & Wait'N'Sea

7/04/2015

Now this is what I like to call a real summery mani! Now, I went a little crazy here, using nail art stripping tape and nail art jewels, geometric shapes - woah! I just felt like it wouldn't look tacky combining these three colors but very much interesting and clean, with just a hint of a feminine touch. As a base, I've used my fave white nail polish - China Glaze White On White (14ml | $7.50). True, pure white with a creme finish is perfect as a base for any neon polish. The shade I have most trouble defining, describing and even capturing is the cult favorite which is China Glaze Pool Party (14ml | $7.50). This should be a very loud, very bright hot pink. However, I've noticed that many people have different descriptions of it which vary from reddish pink, hot pink, strawberry pink, coral pink etc. Many have reported that it looks different on nails than in bottle but all agree that it's crazy bright. As you can tell, it turned out as a true, straight up neon orange - both on nails and in the bottle. I usually have no problems with keeping colors true to how they look in real life as opposed on photos but this polish definitely isn't as orange as pictured here. In all honesty, it does seem much more on the orange side even in real life, compared to photos I've seen online, so I'm not sure if I have a dodgy specimen or what? Nonetheless, I love it! After I've painted all nails white, I've used pale blue nail art stripping tape on my index and ring finger to create an elongated triangular shape. Thumb was left white, pinky was colored with Pool Party whilst the middle nail is colored with a peculiar blue nail polish. Pool Party was reserved for tips of my accent nails. This moody blue is China Glaze Wait'n'Sea (14ml | $7.50). It has a distinct Mediterranean vibe and is absolutely stunning! It's the azure, aqua kind of blue which leans teal and is of a creme, almost jelly finish. Rather interesting shade which has a good formula but applied over the White On White, on photos I can see the white showing through at the edges. I think it could've benefited from another coat - this is just one layer. I was too optimistic, obviously. Applied alone (without a white base) it looks perfectly even, though. To finish things off, I've dropped a pale blue flower-shaped nail art jewel from the Revelique Nail Art Set on the top right corner of each accent nail. They've rounded the manicure as the most beautiful bow, don't you think?

Za bazu sam koristila meni omiljeni bijeli lak - China Glaze White On White (14ml | 7,50KM preko Facebook stranice Lilocosmetics).
